David
David played the harp to calm Saul
Before he was king, David entered the palace as a musician — and his harp brought relief to the tormented King Saul.
Before David wore any crown, he served in King Saul's court as a skilled musician.
Whenever a tormenting spirit troubled Saul, David was called, and at the sound of his harp the king found relief and rest.
It was through music, not the sword, that Israel's future king first passed through the palace gates.
Long before the battle with Goliath, God was already quietly preparing David's path to the throne.
